Working on this piece, I felt like I should give all the space to this missionary kind of figure. Leaving his surroundings with one shade of unbleached titanium, fills with tiny and fine details of strokes and lines of pencils and graphite.
This background will reveal itself only to the few who will be standing up front of the artwork. Hoping they will discover and appreciate the geometrical shapes opening and the abstract sense that it is hiding in these surroundings.
The figure reflects well the result of my many previous studies on paper made earlier, in search of a new figuration in my work.
